III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or rendered inaccessible as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, the deletion of the data does not conflict with any statutory obligation to preserve records, and no other information on individual processing methods is subsequently given.

SERVER DATA
For technical reasons, particularly to ensure a secure and stable website, your internet browser transmits data to our web space provider or us. These so-called server log files record, among other things, the type and version of your Internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our internet presence that you visit, the date and time of the respective access as well as the IP address of the Internet connection from which our website is used.

The data collected this way is stored temporarily but not with your other data.

This storage occurs on the legal basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality, and security of our website.

The data will be deleted after seven days at the latest, provided no further storage is required for evidence purposes. Otherwise, the data is completely or partially excluded from deletion until the final clarification of an incident.

COOKIES
A) SESSION-COOKIES
We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies deposited and stored on your end device by your Internet browser. To an individual extent, these cookies process certain information about you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure since the processing enables, for example, our website to be displayed in different languages or to offer a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 (b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies are used to process data for contract initiation or execution.

If the processing does not serve to initiate or process a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

B) THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
If necessary, our website also uses cookies from partner companies with whom we work for the purpose of advertising, analysis, or the functionalities of our website.

For details on this, particularly the purposes and legal basis for processing such third-party cookies, please refer to the information below.

C) REMOVAL OPTIONS
You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by setting your internet browser accordingly. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on your specific Internet browser. If you have any questions, please use your Internet browser's help function or documentation, or contact its host or support. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, however, the processing cannot be prevented via browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player to this end. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the Flash player you are using. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the provider or user support.

However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / REGISTRATION FUNCTION
If you create a customer account via our website, we will use and save the data you entered during registration (e.g. your name, address, or email address) exclusively for pre-contractual services, for the fulfilment of the contract, or for the purpose of customer care (e.g. to provide you with an overview of your previous orders or to be able to offer you the so-called notepad function). At the same time, we save the IP address, the date of your registration, and the time. Of course, this data will not be passed on to third parties.

As part of the further registration process, your consent to this processing will be obtained, and reference will be made to this data privacy statement. The data we collect is used exclusively to provide the customer account.

If you consent to this processing, Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR is the legal basis for the processing.

If the opening of the customer account also serves pre-contractual measures or the fulfilment of the contract, the legal basis for this processing is also Art. 6 Para. 1 (b) GDPR.

You can revoke the consent given to us to open and maintain the customer account at any time with future effect in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. All you have to do is inform us of your revocation.

The data collected in this respect will be deleted as soon as processing is no longer necessary. However, we have to observe tax and commercial retention periods.

NEWSLETTER
If you sign up for our free newsletter, the data requested from you, i.e. your email address and – optionally – your name and address, will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we save the IP address of the Internet connection from which you access our website, as well as the date and time of your registration. As part of the further registration process, we will obtain your consent to send the newsletter, describe the content specifically and refer you to this data privacy statement. We use the data collected this way exclusively to send the newsletter – it is therefore not passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR.

You can revoke your consent to the newsletter dispatch at any time with future effect in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. All you have to do is inform us of your revocation or click the unsubscribe link in every newsletter.

CONTACT REQUESTS / CONTACT OPTIONS
If you contact us via the contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing the data is necessary for processing and answering your inquiry – without providing it, we cannot answer your inquiry at all or only to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 (b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your request has been answered conclusively, and the deletion does not conflict with any statutory obligation to preserve records, such as in the case of any subsequent contract processing.

USER CONTRIBUTIONS, COMMENTS, AND RATINGS
We offer you the option to publish questions, answers, opinions, or ratings, hereinafter referred to as "articles", on our website. If you use this offer, we will process and publish your contribution, the date and time of submission, and the pseudonym you may have used.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. All you have to do is inform us of your revocation.

In addition, we also process your IP and email address. The IP address is processed because we have a legitimate interest in initiating or supporting further steps if your contribution infringes the rights of third parties and/or is otherwise unlawful.

In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 Para 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in any legal defence that may be necessary.

SUBSCRIPTION TO CONTRIBUTIONS
If you publish articles on our website, we also offer you the option of subscribing to any follow-up articles from third parties. In order to be able to inform you about these follow-up articles by email, we process your email address.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent to this subscription at any time with future effect in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. All you have to do is inform us of your revocation or click the unsubscribe link in the respective email.

ONLINE JOB APPLICATIONS / PUBLICATION OF JOB ADVERTISEMENTS
We offer you the option of applying via our website. With these digital applications, your applicant and application data will be electronically collected and processed by us to process within the context of the application process.

The legal basis for this processing is Art 26 Para. 1 (1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 Para. 1 GDPR.

If an employment contract is concluded after the application process, we will store the data you transmitted during the application in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process – of course, in compliance with the further legal obligations.

The legal basis for this processing is also Art. 26 Para. 1 (1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 Para. 1 GDPR.

If an application is rejected, we automatically delete the data transmitted to us two months after you were notified of the rejection. However, the data will not be deleted if the data requires longer storage of up to four months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings due to legal provisions, e.g., the burden of proof according to the General Act on Equal Treatment.

In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR and Art. 24 Para, 1 No. 2 Federal Data Protection Act. Our legitimate interest lies in legal defence and enforcement.

If you expressly agree to a longer storage of your data, e.g. for your inclusion in an applicant or interested party database, the data will be processed based on your consent. The legal basis is then Art. 6 Para. 1 (a) GDPR. However, you can, of course, revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR by declaring this to us with future effect.

Through the connection to Google established in this way, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the directions are to be sent.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. You can find details on this under "Cookies" above.

In addition, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps takes place in accordance with the Google Terms of Use https://policies.google.com/terms and the terms and conditions for https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/.

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal operated by YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as "YouTube".

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

We use YouTube in connection with the "extended data protection mode" function to be able to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the "extended data protection mode" function ensures that the data described below is only transmitted to the YouTube server if you start a video.

Without this "extended data protection," a connection to the YouTube server in the USA will be established as soon as you access one of our websites on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is required to display the respective video on our website via your Internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube will record and process at least your IP address, the date and time and the website you have visited. In addition, a connection to Google's "DoubleClick" advertising network is established.

If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube assigns the connection information to your YouTube account. To prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.

For the purpose of functionality and to analyse usage behaviour, YouTube permanently stores cookies via your Internet browser on your end device. If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the storage of cookies by making a setting in your Internet browser. See "Cookies" above for more information.

Google provides further information about the collection and use of data as well as your rights and protection options in this regard in the data protection notices available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

VIMEO
We use "Vimeo" on our website to display videos. This is a service of Vimeo, LL C, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Vimeo".

Some of the user data is processed on Vimeo servers in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

If you visit a page of our website in which a video is embedded, a connection to the Vimeo servers in the USA will be established to display the video. For technical reasons, it is necessary for Vimeo to process your IP address. Furthermore, the date and time of the visit to our website are also recorded.

If you are logged in to Vimeo at the time you visit one of our websites in which a Vimeo video is embedded, Vimeo may assign the information collected in this way to your personal user account there. To prevent this, you must either log out of Vimeo before visiting our website or configure your Vimeo user account accordingly.

For the purpose of functionality and usage analysis, Vimeo uses the web analysis service Google Analytics. Google Analytics stores cookies on your device via your internet browser and sends information about the use of our website, in which a Vimeo video is embedded, to Google. It cannot be ruled out that Google will process this information in the USA.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. You can find details on this under "Cookies" above.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website and in Vimeo's legitimate interest in statistically analysing user behaviour for optimization and marketing purposes.

At https://vimeo.com/privacy, Vimeo offers further information on the collection and use of data as well as on your rights and options for protecting your privacy.

GOOGLE ADWORDS WITH CONVERSION-TRACKING
Our website uses the advertising component Google AdWords and the so-called conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

We use conversion tracking for targeted advertising of our offer. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an ad placed by Google, the conversion tracking we use will store a cookie on your device. These so-called conversion cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page on our website, we and Google can evaluate that you clicked on one of our ads placed with Google and were then redirected to our website.

With the information obtained this way, Google creates statistics for us about the visit to our website. This also gives us information about the number of users who clicked on our ad(s) and the pages of our website that were subsequently accessed. However, neither we nor third parties using Google AdWords can identify you this way.

You can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. At the same time, you can delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on your specific Internet browser. If you have any questions, please use your Internet browser's help function or documentation or contact its host or support.

Furthermore, Google also offers under https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html, https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ and https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/ further information on this topic and in particular on the possibilities of preventing the use of data.

GOOGLE ADSENSE
On our website, we use Google AdSense to integrate advertisements. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

Google AdSense stores cookies and web beacons on your end device via your Internet browser. This enables Google to analyse how you use our website. In addition to your IP address and the advertising formats displayed, the information collected in this way is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there. Furthermore, Google can pass this information on to contractual partners. However, Google declares that your IP address will not be merged with other data from you.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. You can find details on this under "Cookies" above.

In addition, Google offers further information at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated, particularly on the possibilities of preventing the use of data.

GOOGLE REMARKETING OR THE SIMILAR AUDIENCES COMPONENT OF GOOGLE
We use the remarketing or "similar target groups" function on our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

We use this function to place interest-based, personalized advertising on third-party websites participating in Google's advertising network.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our website.

To enable this advertising service, Google stores a cookie with a sequence of numbers on your device via your Internet browser while visiting our website. This cookie records both your visit and the use of our website in an anonymous form. However, personal data will not be passed on. If you then visit a third party's website, which in turn also uses the Google advertising network, advertisements may appear that relate to our website or our offers there.

To permanently deactivate this function, Google offers a browser plugin for the most common Internet browsers at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

The cookies from certain providers can also be deactivated via opt-out, for example, via https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices or https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.

Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google may be able to track your usage behaviour across multiple devices so that you may be shown interest-based, personalized advertising even if you change devices. However, this presupposes you have agreed to link your browser history to your existing Google account.

Google offers further information on Google Remarketing at https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

MICROSOFT BING ADS
On our website, we use Bing Ads for remarketing and transaction tracking. This is a service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052 - 6399, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Microsoft", which uses what is known as universal event tracking (UEN).

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an ad placed by us on the Internet search engine "Bing", Microsoft will store a cookie on your end device via your Internet browser for tracking functionality. This tracking cookie loses its validity after 180 days and is not used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Microsoft and we can recognize that you have clicked on an advertisement placed by us on Bing and have been forwarded to our website from there.

Microsoft uses the information collected by the tracking cookie to compile visit statistics for us. This gives us information about the number of hits on the advertising we placed on Bing and on the pages of our website that were subsequently accessed. However, we do not receive any information which would allow us to identify you personally.

In addition, Microsoft may be able to track your user behaviour via so-called cross-device tracking across several of your end devices. This enables Microsoft to show you personalized advertising across devices.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. You can find details on this under "Cookies" above.

If you have a Microsoft account, you can also change the settings for personalized advertising there at https://choice.microsoft.com/de-de/opt-out.

Microsoft also offers further information about Bing Ads and the survey at https://help.bingads.microsoft.com/#apex/3/de/53056/ and at https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement and use of the data as well as your rights and options for protecting your privacy.
